It has long been assumed and understood innately that music enriches life. Most will agree that experience in learning a musical instrument is one of the most rewarding experiences in life. Now there is research to back these feelings.

This recent research supports what parents and teachers know in their hearts — that music education is a vital part of a complete education. Once parents understand how music can help their children grow, they become strong supporters of our school music programs. This is a national trend that we're happy to see here in our area.

Studies indicate that if children participate in music, they are likely to earn higher grades and score better on standardized tests. Further, students who are active in school music programs gain discipline and self-confidence, as well as critical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills. There is powerful evidence of a cause-and-effect link between music instruction and the skills needed for the workplace.

At Batchelder’s Plummer Piano and Organ Co. we have a team of dedicated professionals to help achieve the skills needed to attain these results. Our instructors provide an environment that allows each student to excel at their own pace while having fun learning the lifelong  enjoyment of playing and instrument.

Our lessons are typically held once a week and are one half hour in length with the option of a full hour lesson if you’d like. The lessons are taught privately one - on - one at the student’s pace.

Lessons are scheduled by our piano school manager who will work with you to find a time that fits into your tight schedule. When your schedule changes, we are happy to work with you to find a new time that works with your new schedule.

The School of Piano runs two sessions through out the year. The Fall Session starts the week after Labor Day and runs through the end of May. During that time, families will enjoy 3 recitals to show off the growth of their student.  

The Summer Session starts in second week of June and runs through the end of August. Due to the hectic schedules of families, we do not have a recital at the end of the Summer Session. 

Lessons tuition is only $720.00 per year ($60.00 per month) with discounts for multiple students. Tuition includes all lessons, recital, and administration fees.
